Australia is shutting down and moving into isolation, but our shelter cannot. Covid-19 has brought the world to a grinding halt, but the lost and abandoned pets arriving on our door have not stopped. As we all face the prospect of financial hardship, the rate of pets being abandoned is expected to increase.
If you are in a position to do so, please give to our Crisis Appeal urgently.
The potential tsunami of surrendered pets to come, is very concerning and a significant amount of fundraising revenue has disappeared overnight with fundraising events being cancelled.
Fewer people find themselves able to commit to adopting a new pet at this time. And our volunteer numbers will dwindle as the need to isolate increases.
We need to immediately cover costs to keep our shelter doors open and to protect the pets, our staff and community in the face of this global pandemic.
Can you help keep our important work going during this crisis?
We are working around the clock to move as many of our furry residents as possible into foster care but make no mistake – the pets we help need you now more than ever.
Please make an urgent gift to our Crisis Appeal and ensure that abandoned and lost pets still have somewhere to turn during this distressing time. Thank you.
